The 2022 Stanley Cup Finals would be the first time in over 40 years that a Team would return to the Finals for the third straight year. In their efforts to prove that their Pandemic Cups were no fluke the Tampa Bay Lightning looked to three-peat against the young and upcoming Colorado Avalanche, who were making their first Cup appearance since Joe Sakic era. Sadly for Tampa, they were not able to accomplish the three-peat and as such the Colorado Avalanche won their third Cup in Franchise History, with All-Star Rookie Defenseman Cale Makar taking home the Conn Smyth as MVP.
