Pool Format

The Hockey Pool will be a Standard Box Pool format. All players will be chosen from pre-selected, designated 'boxes' of NHL Players, ensuring a fun and fair challenge for everyone.

Each Team Will Consist of 12 Players:

1 Face of the Franchise Forward
3 Star Forwards
2 Depth Forwards
1 Franchise Defenseman
2 Core Defensemen
1 Depth Defenseman
1 Star Tendy
1 Backup Tendy

Scoring

Standard Points:

Goal: 1 Point
Assist: 1 Point
Shots On Goal: 0.1 Points (per shot)
Hits: 0.1 Points (per hit)
Fights: 0.25 points (per fight)

Bonus Points:

Game winning/OT Goal: 1 Bonus Point (on top of the point you get for the goal)
Hat Trick: 3 Bonus Points (on top of the 3 goal points)
Gordie Howe Hat Trick: 3 Bonus Points (1 goal, 1 assist, and 1 fight in a game)

Goalie Scoring:

Win: 1 Point
Shutout: 1 Point

Goalie Bonus:

Goalie Assist: 3 Points
Goalie Goal: 10 Points

Trades

Each team is allowed five trades per month. You can only trade players in and out of the same box. For example, you can only have one of Auston Matthews, Connor McDavid, or Nathan MacKinnon from the Face of the Franchise Player Box at any given time.

Points are kept from the player who was on the active roster up until the day of the transaction. The new player's points will only count from the transaction date onwards. Remember, each position in each box is only eligible to play 82 games in a season.

Fine Print & Disclaimer

All entrants must be registered CoolHockey EClub members to receive prizes.

The free jersey prize can only be won once per season per entrant. In the event of a tie for the monthly jersey, the entrant whose team has the most overall goals will be declared the winner.

The grand prize winner is the entrant with the most points at the conclusion of the 2025-26 NHL season. In the event of a tie, the entrant whose team has the most overall goals will be declared the winner. In the event this catagory is tied, the tiebreaker will be that player's total shots on goal amount for that season.

This prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged.

No purchase is necessary to enter. CoolHockey coupons are for online use on regular-price merchandise only and cannot be combined with other offers.

Coupon codes will expire one month after issuance.

No new submissions will be accepted after 3PM EST, Tuesday, October 7th, 2025.
